Hello and welcome to my web-site. You  may be considering counselling or psychotherapy, seeking a counsellor, or perhaps you are just curious to find out more about what counselling is and how it could help you.

You may be concerned about some longstanding feelings or something may have happened more recently that is causing you to feel overwhelmed and wanting to make changes in your life. You don’t always need to have a major or a complex problem to benefit from counselling. Most of us have problems in our everyday lives and sometimes it is easier to talk to someone other than family or friends. Our daily lives can be so hectic and stressful that sometimes it just helps to have some time and a quiet space to talk to someone.  As a professionally trained and experienced counsellor, I can offer to work with you and support  you in a safe, confidential therapeutic relationship, while you make the changes in your life that you wish for.

Counselling is a very personal process and talking about painful or upsetting matters can sometimes be difficult. It is important to have a counsellor that you feel at ease with and can build a trusting relationship. This is why I offer the first session for free so you can come and meet me, with no pressure or obligation. We will have a short session for you to outline your problems and to see if you would like to work with me and if counselling is the right sort of therapy for you.
